Jefferson Township is one of the twenty-seven townships of Ashtabula County, 俄亥俄州, 美国. The 2010 census found 5,252 people in the township,[3] 2,132 of whom lived in the unincorporated portions of the township.

The village of Jefferson, the county seat of Ashtabula County, is located in central Jefferson Township.
Name and history
[编辑]It is one of twenty-four Jefferson Townships statewide.[4]
The township was first settled in 1805 by former Connecticut resident Michael Webster.[5]
政府
[编辑]镇区有3人组成的理事会管理。理事会理事选举在奇数年11月举行,并在来年1月1日开始四年任期。两名理事的选举在总统选举后一年举行,另一名的选举在总统选举前一年举行。镇区财务官亦由选举产生[6],与一名镇区理事选举同时举行,不过在来年4月1日才开始四年任期。若财务官或理事职位有空缺,将由剩余理事填补。 Currently, the board is composed of chairwoman Charlene Kusar and members Martha Demshar and John Wayman.[5]
