Perry Township is one of the twenty-two townships of Coshocton County, 俄亥俄州, 美国. As of the 2010 census the population was 711.[3]
地理
[编辑]Located in the far western part of the county, 与以下镇区接壤:
- Newcastle Township - 北
- Jefferson Township - 北east corner
- Bedford Township - 东
- Pike Township - 南
- Fallsbury Township, Licking County - 南west
- Jackson Township, Knox County - 西
- Butler Township, Knox County - 北west corner
No municipalities are located in Perry Township although the unincorporated community of New Guilford is in the northwestern part of the township.
Name and history
[编辑]It is one of twenty-six Perry Townships statewide.[4]
Perry Township was organized in 1817.[5] It was named for Oliver Hazard Perry, a hero of the War of 1812.[6]
政府
[编辑]镇区有3人组成的理事会管理。理事会理事选举在奇数年11月举行,并在来年1月1日开始四年任期。两名理事的选举在总统选举后一年举行,另一名的选举在总统选举前一年举行。镇区财务官亦由选举产生[7],与一名镇区理事选举同时举行,不过在来年4月1日才开始四年任期。若财务官或理事职位有空缺,将由剩余理事填补。
