Engineering Manager
Mobile Apps, Product
As the Mobile Apps Engineering Manager, I am the people manager for the six engineers who work on the Wikipedia iOS and Android Apps. My primary role is to ensure my engineers are not blocked from being able to deliver on the teams current and upcoming priorities and am ultimately accountable for the delivery of feature work. If you want to know what engineering managers do at the Wikimedia Foundation and other tech companies, this video might help.

I work for or provide services to the Wikimedia Foundation, and this is the account I try to use for edits or statements I make in that role. As a volunteer, I'm mostly active on the English Wikipedia where I'm an admin and write about the space launch industry and lunar exploration. You'll also find me on the english community discord server. I've been previously active as a member of Wikimedia UK where I was a Director and Trustee of the organisation from from 2009-2011 & 2013-2015 respectively. I've worked for the WMF on and off since 2011. Prior to being an engineering manager, I was a software engineer with the Structured Data team working on MediaSearch, Image Recommendations and Special:Search improvements. Before joining the Product department I worked in the Advancement department as a Community Relations specialist where I worked with Wikimedia Enterprise and the Fundraising teams.
