XO望远镜

XO望远镜（XO Telescope）是位于夏威夷茂宜岛海拔3054米的海勒卡拉火山顶的望远镜。该望远镜以一对焦距200 mm的望远镜头组成，是以凌日法侦测太阳系外行星，其原理相当类似跨大西洋系外行星搜寻计划（Trans-atlantic Exoplanet Survey, TrES）。硬件花费为六万美金，相关软件花费则要少得多[1]。

发现的行星[编辑]

XO望远镜已经发现五颗行星，其中四颗是热木星，另一颗 XO-3b 则可能是棕矮星。所有系外行星都以凌日法发现。
