夏蓬特错觉

大小-重量错觉,也被称为夏蓬特错觉,由法国物理学家奥古斯丁 ‧ 夏蓬特的名字命名[1] [2] [3] [4],
描述
[编辑]这种错觉主要来自在人类大脑错估了相同质量但不同体积的物体。例如一公斤的铁与一公斤的棉花理论上重量相等,但如果两者皆被装进不透明盒中时,人们会误以为体积较大的一公斤棉花比较重 [5],这样的错觉也会因为颜色或材质儿有差异:相同大小和质量的金属容器感觉起来比木制容器轻[6] ,相同大小和质量的深色物体感觉起来比亮色物体重[7] [8] 。这些错觉都是因为人们对预这些物质有著一定的既定印象[9][10] 对于客观的重量或形状有错误的预测[11]。
