洪世章,毕业于英国华威克大学商学院[1],拥有策略管理博士学位。现任清华大学清华讲座教授。

洪世章是国内从事质性研究策略管理创新创业管理相关研究的著名学者,著有《创新六策》一书,由联经出版社出版[2][3]

2016-2017年间,曾借调至科技部,担任人文与社会科学研究发展司司长[4][5]

学术生涯[编辑]

刚毕业时,由于博士论文是采用当时台湾商管学界比较冷门的质性研究,回台湾找工作时相对较辛苦,根据他本人自述:“论文中一个方程式都没有,有人说我像写了一本红楼梦。”[6]

首先于淡江大学的国际贸易学系任教(1995-1996),接著转往国立清华大学的工业工程学系服务(1996-2000),是国立清华大学在台复校后,聘任的第一位商管博士,同时也一样被要求在六年内于工学院升等为副教授。后于西元2001年于国立清华大学新成立的科技管理研究所服务。

在清大科管所期间,先后担任过所长、科技管理学院副院长、EMBA/MBA/EDP执行长、科技政策研究中心主任、技术创新与创业研究中心主任等职务。

研究表现[编辑]

主要的研究领域有策略、创新、组织。博士论文题目为“Social Structures, Industry System, Corporate Identities and Strategic Choices”[7],文中采用英国后结构主义的社会学家安东尼・纪登斯的结构化理论(structuration theory),分析与比较台湾个人电脑产业的策略选择,该博士论文于1997年发表在国际知名学术期刊Organization Studies,题目为“Strategies and Institutions A Pluralistic Account of Strategies in the Taiwanese Computer Industry”[8]

洪世章不仅在国内大多数TSSCI期刊有所发表,包含:管理学报、中山管理评论、台大管理论丛、科技管理学刊、管理评论、组织与管理等,并于国外知名期刊,包含:Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal、Human Relations、Long Range Planning、Research Policy、R&D Management、Asia Pacific Journal of Management等有所发表。

在根据中山管理评论于2010年第十八卷第一期的“台湾管理学门质性研究之回顾与展望”一文中(作者:彭玉树、梁奕忠、于卓民、梁晋嘉),提到:“在个别作者的贡献方面,本研究将每篇文献的作者以平均的方式给予相等的权重......其中洪世章和林东清无论在篇数和点数数值均明显超越其他作者,显见两位学者长期对质性研究的付出。”(29页),当中,洪世章又以3.33点数值排名第一[9]

得过的奖项有:清华大学新进人员奖、国科会吴大猷先生纪念奖、管理学报论文奖、产经论文奖、国科会杰出研究奖(国内策略与科管学界唯一两次获奖者),以及中华民国科技管理学会与美国管理学会英语Academy of Management(Academy of Management)年会最佳论文。

2016年,出版《创新六策》一书,由联经出版社出版,书中论述六种创新策略:能力、定位、简则、整合、开放、赋名,并透过许多个案进行说明与讨论[10]

教学服务[编辑]

在硕士班、博士班、在职专班均有授课,并在2005、2006、2007年连续三年票选为清华EMBA最受欢迎名师第一名。

硕士班开设的课程有“创新与技术策略”,博士班则是开设“质性研究方法”,曾被誉为清大科管所博士班最难修的一堂课。
