This is a Yakutian horse taken in Oymyakon in February this year. These horses stay outside during the winter; they must stand temperatures that can drop far below -60. They have an incredible fur coat and find their own food under the snow. Once every 4 weeks all horses are brushed with a large metal brush to remove the ice clumps which build up in their fur to make sure that the isolation keeps working perfectly.
