安妮塔·德賽（Anita Desai，1937年6月24日—）是印度小說家和麻省理工學院教授。[1][2]曾經三次入圍布克獎。[2]1978年她憑藉小說《山火》獲得印度國家文學院Sahitya Akademi獎（英語：Sahitya Akademi Award）。[3]又因小說《The work Village village》獲得英國衛報獎（英語：Guardian Prize）。[4]

早年生活[編輯]

1937年Anita Mazumdar出生於印度穆索里，母親是德國人，父親是孟加拉商人。[5][6]

她在家說孟加拉語，烏爾都語和印地語，在外說英語。然而，她直到成年後才去德國。她第一次在學校里學會了用英語讀寫，結果，英語成了她的「文學語言」。她七歲開始用英語寫作，並在九歲時發表了她的第一個故事。[5]

她是德里瑪麗女王高中的學生，1957年在德里大學米蘭達學院獲得英國文學學士學位。第二年，她與一位計算機軟件公司的董事Ashvin Desai結婚。[7]

1993年，她的小說《In Custody》由墨詮艾佛利製片改編成一部同名英文電影，由伊斯曼·墨詮執導，並由Shahrukh Husain編劇。[12]電影贏得1994年印度國家電影獎。
