Kingston Township is one of the eighteen townships of Delaware County, 俄亥俄州, 美國. The 2000 census found 1,603 people in the township.[3]

Located in the northeastern part of the county, 與以下鎮區接壤：

- Bennington Township, Morrow County - 北east corner
- Porter Township - 東
- Trenton Township - 東南 corner
- Berkshire Township - 南
- Berlin Township - 南west corner
- Brown Township - 西
- Oxford Township - 北west corner
No municipalities are located in Kingston Township
Name and history[編輯]
It is the only Kingston Township statewide.[4]
Kingstown Township was established in 1813.[5]
Marilyn Cryder of the Delaware County Historical Society sets the tone for Kingston Township in its early era: 「[Native American] tribes were frequent visitors right up to 1830. The area was covered with forests. Settlers…coming into the territory established their homes in natural clearings and had to immediately set about clearing the timber. The first houses were one room log cabins and it was many years before substantial ones were built."[5]
Cryder notes that in 1842 Ohio Wesleyan University was established in Delaware City twenty miles from Kilbourne and with it came more traffic and eventually the railroad.[5] The rail was supposed to have gone through Kingstown Township. A 1907 map of Ohio Railroads shows the rail traveling along Kilbourne Rd.[6] The railroad was never completed, and never made it to Kingstown Township.

鎮區有3人組成的理事會管理。理事會理事選舉在奇數年11月舉行，並在來年1月1日開始四年任期。兩名理事的選舉在總統選舉後一年舉行，另一名的選舉在總統選舉前一年舉行。鎮區財務官亦由選舉產生[7]，與一名鎮區理事選舉同時舉行，不過在來年4月1日才開始四年任期。若財務官或理事職位有空缺，將由剩餘理事填補。
Public services[編輯]
Fire protection in Kingston Township is the responsibility of the Porter-Kingston Fire District,[8] and emergency medical services are provided by the Delaware County EMS.[9]
