昆蟲的進化
昆蟲的進化是指昆蟲的演化過程。昆蟲起源於大約4.8億年前的奧陶紀，大約在同一時間，陸生植物也開始出現。 [1]昆蟲被認為是由甲殼動物進化而來。 [2] 最初的昆蟲並不會飛行，從大約4億年前的泥盆紀開始，有昆蟲開始懂得飛行。 [1]大多數現存的昆蟲目下的物種是從二疊紀時期開始發展起來的。 [3]
