Eaton Township is one of the eighteen townships of Lorain County, 俄亥俄州, 美國. The 2000 census found 9,675 people in the unincorporated portions of the township.[3]
地理[編輯]
Located in eastern Lorain County, it borders the following townships and cities:
- North Ridgeville - 北
- Olmsted Township, Cuyahoga County - 北east corner
- Columbia Township - 東
- Liverpool Township, Medina County - 東南 corner
- Grafton Township - 南
- LaGrange Township - 南west corner
- Carlisle Township - 西
- Elyria - 北west corner
Two municipalities are partially located in Eaton Township: a small corner of Elyria in the northwest, and the majority of Grafton in the south. The census-designated place of Eaton Estates lies in the center of the township.
Name and history[編輯]
It is the only Eaton Township statewide.[4]
政府[編輯]
鎮區有3人組成的理事會管理。理事會理事選舉在奇數年11月舉行，並在來年1月1日開始四年任期。兩名理事的選舉在總統選舉後一年舉行，另一名的選舉在總統選舉前一年舉行。鎮區財務官亦由選舉產生[5]，與一名鎮區理事選舉同時舉行，不過在來年4月1日才開始四年任期。若財務官或理事職位有空缺，將由剩餘理事填補。
