Farmer Township is one of the twelve townships of Defiance County, 俄亥俄州, 美國. The 2000 census found 932 people in the township.[3]
地理
[編輯]Located in the northwestern part of the county, 與以下鎮區接壤：
- Center Township, Williams County - 北
- Pulaski Township, Williams County - 北east corner
- Washington Township - 東
- Delaware Township - 東南 corner
- Mark Township - 南
- Hicksville Township - 南west corner
- Milford Township - 西
- St. Joseph Township, Williams County - 北west corner
No municipalities are located in Farmer Township, although the unincorporated community of Farmer is located in the township's center.
Name and history
[編輯]It is the only Farmer Township statewide.[4]
政府
[編輯]鎮區有3人組成的理事會管理。理事會理事選舉在奇數年11月舉行，並在來年1月1日開始四年任期。兩名理事的選舉在總統選舉後一年舉行，另一名的選舉在總統選舉前一年舉行。鎮區財務官亦由選舉產生[5]，與一名鎮區理事選舉同時舉行，不過在來年4月1日才開始四年任期。若財務官或理事職位有空缺，將由剩餘理事填補。
Transportation
[編輯]Two significant highways in Farmer Township are State Route 2, which travels from northeast to southwest through the western half of the township; and State Route 249, which travels east-west through the center of the township and is concurrent with State Route 2 for a short distance.[6]
