Liberty Township is one of the eighteen townships of Delaware County, 俄亥俄州, 美國. The 2000 census found 15,429 people in the township, 9,182 of whom lived in the unincorporated portions of the township.[3] This was a significant increase from the 1990 census, at which time its population was only 3,790.[1] Liberty Township had 5,681 housing units in 2000.[2]

Located in the southwestern part of the county, it borders the following townships and city:
- Delaware Township - 北
- Berlin Township - 北east
- Orange Township - 東
- Sharon Township, Franklin County - 東南 corner
- Perry Township, Franklin County - 南
- Dublin - 南west
- Concord Township - 西
The city of Powell is located in southern Liberty Township, and the ghost town of Carpenter's Mill lies in the township.
Name and history[編輯]
It is one of twenty-five Liberty Townships statewide.[4]
The first non-American Indian settler of Liberty Township - also of Delaware County - was Capt. Nathan Carpenter, who settled in the township on May 1, 1801, after a journey of over 2½ months from New York. Liberty Township was also "one of the three original townships into which the county was divided for temporary purposes, at the time of its formation."[5]

鎮區有3人組成的理事會管理。理事會理事選舉在奇數年11月舉行,並在來年1月1日開始四年任期。兩名理事的選舉在總統選舉後一年舉行,另一名的選舉在總統選舉前一年舉行。鎮區財務官亦由選舉產生[6],與一名鎮區理事選舉同時舉行,不過在來年4月1日才開始四年任期。若財務官或理事職位有空缺,將由剩餘理事填補。
