Mad River Township is one of the twelve townships of Champaign County, 俄亥俄州, 美國. As of the 2010 census the population was 2,821.[3]
地理[編輯]
Located in the southwestern part of the county, 與以下鎮區接壤：
- Concord Township - 北
- Salem Township - 北east corner
- Urbana Township - 東
- Moorefield Township, Clark County - 東南 corner
- German Township, Clark County - 南
- Pike Township, Clark County - 南west corner
- Jackson Township - 西
- Johnson Township - 北west
No municipalities are located in Mad River Township, although the unincorporated communities of Thackery and Westville lie in the township's southwest and northeast respectively.
Name and history[編輯]
Mad River Township was organized in 1805.[4]
Named for the river that flows through it, it is one of three Mad River townships statewide. The other townships of this name are located in Clark and Montgomery counties.
政府[編輯]
鎮區有3人組成的理事會管理。理事會理事選舉在奇數年11月舉行，並在來年1月1日開始四年任期。兩名理事的選舉在總統選舉後一年舉行，另一名的選舉在總統選舉前一年舉行。鎮區財務官亦由選舉產生[5]，與一名鎮區理事選舉同時舉行，不過在來年4月1日才開始四年任期。若財務官或理事職位有空缺，將由剩餘理事填補。
