印度鋼鐵管理局有限公司 (SAIL)是印度最大的鋼鐵企業之一，國有股佔總股本75%。鐵礦石基本自給。24%的煉焦煤產自國內，其餘靠進口。[5]2014-15財年，粗鋼產量1390萬噸，發電710 MWh.[3]
歷史[編輯]
1959–1973[編輯]
1954年1月19日在新德里成立印度斯坦鋼鐵有限公司（Hindustan Steel Limited, HSL）。僅有一家引進德國技術的鋼廠：位於在奧里薩邦的魯吉拉鋼廠。1956年7月公司註冊地遷往加爾各答。1957年4月，印度鋼鐵部下轄的比萊鋼廠與杜爾加布爾鋼廠併入印度斯坦鋼鐵有限公司。1958年12月公司註冊地遷往蘭契。1964年1月29日建立博卡羅鋼廠[6][7]。
控股公司[編輯]
1972年12月2日，印度議會批准組建鋼鐵控股公司——印度鋼鐵管理局有限公司，註冊資本200億盧比（3.11億美元），下轄五家煉鋼廠與合金鋼廠、Salem Steel Plant。1978年印度鋼鐵管理局有限公司重組為自營公司（operating company）。[8]
2002年3月31日有僱員170,368人。隨後逐年消減員額。
