網絡計算系統

網絡計算系統 ( NCS ) 是網絡計算架構 (NCA) 的實現。它是在 20世紀70年代末、80年代初由阿波羅電腦公司 (Apollo Computer, Inc.) 創建的。它包含一組用於實現分佈式軟件應用程式或分佈式計算的工具。

DCE/RPC (分散式運算環境/遠程過程調用) 是分佈式運算環境中一個的遠程過程調用機制，其設計和實現是基於NCA/NCS的。它也是通用唯一標識符 (UUID) 的第一個實現。
