針柄勺
針柄勺（拉丁語：cochlearium，複數cochlearia），羅馬時期的一種帶有長錐形手柄的小勺子。
歷史[編輯]
針柄勺曾被廣泛發現於公元4世紀後的羅馬遺址中，如塞特福德寶藏[1]和霍克森寶藏等。
「cochlea」一詞的字面意思是螺旋形或蝸牛殼，因此有觀點認為該類勺子是用來將蝸牛或鳥蛤的肉從殼中取出的[2]。
在羅馬時期，「cochlearium」、「cochlear」和「cochleare」可以表示一匙的液體量度[3]。同時「cochlearium」還可以表示飼養食用蝸牛的地方[2]。
