Modjo是一支法國浩室音樂二人組，由製作人羅曼·特蘭查特（Romain Tranchart；1976年6月9日—）和歌手揚·德斯塔尼奧（Yann Destagnol；1978年7月14日—）於1999年在巴黎創立，他們最著名的歌曲是2000年發行的熱門歌曲《Lady (Hear Me Tonight)》，以及2001年發行的熱門歌曲《Chillin'》和《No More Tears》等。

背景

羅曼·特蘭查特和家人搬到了阿爾及利亞和墨西哥，最後定居在巴西。在那裏，他開始學習結他，並從古典爵士樂中尋找靈感。^[1]

同樣是巴黎人的揚·德斯塔尼奧在幼年時學會了吹長笛和單簧管。隨着年齡的增長，他深受披頭四樂隊、海灘男孩、大衛·寶兒和其他流行音樂家的影響。他開始模仿他們打鼓，還學會了彈鋼琴和結他。後來，他給自己買了一台四軌錄音機，開始寫歌和唱歌。比起魅力四射的樂隊領袖，他更着迷於聲音，比如史密夫飛船、警察樂隊和Queen等樂隊，後來成為R&B天后們的忠實粉絲。^[2]
