Jackson Township is one of the fifteen townships of Ashland County, 俄亥俄州, 美國. The 2010 census found 3,887 people in the township,[3] 3,551 of whom lived in the unincorporated portions of the township.
地理
[編輯]Located in the northeastern part of the county, 與以下鎮區接壤:
- Homer Township, Medina County - 北east
- Congress Township, Wayne County - 東
- Chester Township, Wayne County - 東南 corner
- Perry Township - 南
- Montgomery Township - 南west
- Orange Township - 西
- Sullivan Township - 北west
The village of Polk is located in western Jackson Township. The unincorporated community and census-designated place of Cinnamon Lake, built around a reservoir of the same name, is found near the northern border of the township.
Name and history
[編輯]Jackson Township was organized in 1819.[4]
It is one of thirty-seven Jackson Townships statewide.[5]
政府
[編輯]鎮區有3人組成的理事會管理。理事會理事選舉在奇數年11月舉行,並在來年1月1日開始四年任期。兩名理事的選舉在總統選舉後一年舉行,另一名的選舉在總統選舉前一年舉行。鎮區財務官亦由選舉產生[6],與一名鎮區理事選舉同時舉行,不過在來年4月1日才開始四年任期。若財務官或理事職位有空缺,將由剩餘理事填補。
