Wayne Township is one of the twenty townships of Darke County, 俄亥俄州, 美國. The 2000 census found 4,349 people in the township, 1,760 of whom lived in the unincorporated portions of the township.[3]

Located in the northeastern part of the county, 與以下鎮區接壤:

- Cynthian Township, Shelby County - 北east corner
- Loramie Township, Shelby County - 東

The village of Versailles is located in central Wayne Township, and the unincorporated community of Frenchtown lies in the township's northwest.
Name and history[編輯]
It is one of twenty Wayne Townships statewide.[4]
Wayne Township was established in 1817. It was named for Anthony Wayne.[5]
政府[編輯]
鎮區有3人組成的理事會管理。理事會理事選舉在奇數年11月舉行,並在來年1月1日開始四年任期。兩名理事的選舉在總統選舉後一年舉行,另一名的選舉在總統選舉前一年舉行。鎮區財務官亦由選舉產生[6],與一名鎮區理事選舉同時舉行,不過在來年4月1日才開始四年任期。若財務官或理事職位有空缺,將由剩餘理事填補。 The current trustees are Michael Lawrence, Dennis Mestemaker, and Kenneth Moorman, and the clerk is Teresa Slonkosky.[7]
The township's government is housed in Versailles, at the Versailles Town Hall and Wayne Township House, a structure on the National Register of Historic Places.
