English: A picture of the total lunar eclipse of December 2010, mounted piggyback on a telescope to show surrounding stars. Image captured 2 minutes after greatest eclipse. Long exposure time and high ISO number used. The moon was a darker red, possibly due partly to volcanic aerosols. Taken in Southern Ontario. The sky conditions were clear at the time. There was a tinge of yellowish-green at the brightest edge of the Moon at its northern side. |
