White Eyes Township is one of the twenty-two townships of Coshocton County, 俄亥俄州, 美国. As of the 2010 census the population was 1,194.[3]

[编辑]Located in the northeastern part of the county, 与以下镇区接壤:

- Bucks Township, Tuscarawas County - 北east corner
- Adams Township - 东
- Oxford Township - 东南 corner
- Lafayette Township - 南
- Tuscarawas Township - 南west corner
- Keene Township - 西
- Mill Creek Township - 北west corner
No municipalities are located in White Eyes Township, although the unincorporated community of Fresno lies in the eastern part of the township.
Name and history
[编辑]White Eyes Township was organized in 1823.[4][5] It was named for White Eyes, a Lenape (Delaware) chief who lived in the Tuscarawas valley.[6]
It is the only White Eyes Township statewide.[7]
政府
[编辑]镇区有3人组成的理事会管理。理事会理事选举在奇数年11月举行,并在来年1月1日开始四年任期。两名理事的选举在总统选举后一年举行,另一名的选举在总统选举前一年举行。镇区财务官亦由选举产生[8],与一名镇区理事选举同时举行,不过在来年4月1日才开始四年任期。若财务官或理事职位有空缺,将由剩余理事填补。
