沙里-尼罗语族

沙里-尼罗语族(Chari-Nile languages)是一个现已不再使用的语言分类名称,原属于尼罗-撒哈拉语系。这个名字是由约瑟·哈罗德·格林伯格于1955年所撰写的《非洲语言学分类研究》(Studies in African linguistic classification)里所提出。

这个语族的命名源于其通行区域,从沙里河(乍得湖的主要供水来源)流域及尼罗河流域,以及两河流域之间的地区。它包含了以下四种语言分支:
