諾曼·雷·伯德韋爾（英語：Norman Ray Bridwell，1928年2月15日—2014年12月12日），是一名美國作家、卡通家，他的作品以兒童讀物《超級紅卜卜》聞名。
早期生涯[編輯]
1928年[3] ，諾曼·雷·伯德韋爾出生於印第安那州科克摩市[4]。1945年，他畢業於科克摩高中[4]，之後進入印第安納波利斯的約翰·赫倫藝術學院[5]，後轉入紐約市的庫伯聯盟學院[5]。
事業[編輯]
諾曼·伯德韋爾開始繪畫，並以兒童讀物插畫師開始尋求工作，但是他被近十五所出版商拒絕[5]。當他在哈珀與羅出版公司尋找機會時，一名編輯隨口建議他將繪畫作品寫入故事。他聽從了這個建議，並將小女兒和房子一樣大的血獵犬克利福德的故事，寫成《超級紅卜卜》[5]。該書隨後帶動了四十多部克利福德系列暢銷書[5]、兩部電視劇[6]、各類產品[7]、以及音樂片[8]。
伯德韋爾的其他暢銷書有《隔壁的女巫》、《微小的家》，他的著作也有近1.26億本，並翻譯至13種語言[3]。
個人生活[編輯]
1962年，伯德韋爾娶諾瑪·霍華德為妻[2]，並有一女艾米麗·伊莉莎白和一子蒂莫西[9][10]。
他們家族在1969年遷居至馬沙文雅島[9]。2014年12月12日，伯德韋爾因心臟衰竭去世，享年86歲[1]。
