Canaan Township is one of the fourteen townships of Athens County, 俄亥俄州, 美國. The 2010 census found 1,666 people in the township.[3]

Located in the center of the county, 與以下鎮區接壤：
- Ames Township - 北
- Bern Township - 北east corner
- Rome Township - 東
- Carthage Township - 東南 corner
- Lodi Township - 南
- Alexander Township - 南west corner
- Athens Township - 西
- Dover Township - 北west corner
Part of the city of Athens is located in western Canaan Township. Canaan Township contains the unincorporated community of Canaanville.
The township is bisected by the Hocking River and U.S. Route 50. It includes most of Strouds Run State Park.[4]
Name and history[編輯]
Canaan Township was organized in 1819.[5]
Statewide, other Canaan Townships are located in Madison County, Morrow County, and Wayne counties.
政府[編輯]
鎮區有3人組成的理事會管理。理事會理事選舉在奇數年11月舉行，並在來年1月1日開始四年任期。兩名理事的選舉在總統選舉後一年舉行，另一名的選舉在總統選舉前一年舉行。鎮區財務官亦由選舉產生[6]，與一名鎮區理事選舉同時舉行，不過在來年4月1日才開始四年任期。若財務官或理事職位有空缺，將由剩餘理事填補。
