Lykens Township is one of the sixteen townships of Crawford County, 俄亥俄州, 美國. As of the 2010 census the population was 660.[3]
地理
[編輯]Located in the northwestern part of the county, 與以下鎮區接壤：
- Bloom Township, Seneca County - 北
- Chatfield Township - 東
- Holmes Township - 南
- Tod Township - 南west corner
- Texas Township - 西
- Eden Township, Seneca County - 北west corner
No municipalities are located in Lykens Township, although the unincorporated community of Brokensword lies on the border with Holmes Township. It also contains the unincorporated community of Lykens.
Name and history
[編輯]Lykens Township was founded in about 1832. It was named after Lykens, Pennsylvania.[4]
It is the only Lykens Township statewide.[5]
政府
[編輯]鎮區有3人組成的理事會管理。理事會理事選舉在奇數年11月舉行，並在來年1月1日開始四年任期。兩名理事的選舉在總統選舉後一年舉行，另一名的選舉在總統選舉前一年舉行。鎮區財務官亦由選舉產生[6]，與一名鎮區理事選舉同時舉行，不過在來年4月1日才開始四年任期。若財務官或理事職位有空缺，將由剩餘理事填補。
