Oxford Township is one of the twenty-two townships of Coshocton County, 俄亥俄州, 美國. The 2010 census reported 1,527 people living in the township.[3]
地理
[編輯]Located in the far eastern part of the county, 與以下鎮區接壤：
- Adams Township - 北
- Salem Township, Tuscarawas County - 北east corner
- Oxford Township, Tuscarawas County - 東
- Wheeling Township, Guernsey County - 東南
- Linton Township - 南west
- Lafayette Township - 西
- White Eyes Township - 北west corner
No municipalities are located in Oxford Township.
Name and history
[編輯]It is one of six Oxford Townships statewide.[4]
Oxford Township was organized in 1811.[5][6] The Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and St. Louis Railway had a depot in Oxford Township at Oxford near the center of the township.[7]
政府
[編輯]鎮區有3人組成的理事會管理。理事會理事選舉在奇數年11月舉行，並在來年1月1日開始四年任期。兩名理事的選舉在總統選舉後一年舉行，另一名的選舉在總統選舉前一年舉行。鎮區財務官亦由選舉產生[8]，與一名鎮區理事選舉同時舉行，不過在來年4月1日才開始四年任期。若財務官或理事職位有空缺，將由剩餘理事填補。
