Violet Township is one of the thirteen townships of Fairfield County, 俄亥俄州, 美國. The 2000 census found 26,914 people in the township, 16,893 of whom lived in the unincorporated portions of the township.[3]
地理
[編輯]Located in the northwestern corner of the county, 與以下鎮區接壤：
- Etna Township, Licking County - 北
- Liberty Township - 東
- Greenfield Township - 東南 corner
- Bloom Township - 南
- Madison Township, Franklin County - 南west
- Truro Township, Franklin County - 北west
Several municipalities are partially located in Violet Township:
- The village of Canal Winchester, in the southwest
- The city of Columbus, the capital of Ohio, in the northwest
- The city of Pickerington, in the west
- The city of Reynoldsburg, in the far northwest
Name and history
[編輯]It is the only Violet Township statewide.[4]
政府
[編輯]鎮區有3人組成的理事會管理。理事會理事選舉在奇數年11月舉行，並在來年1月1日開始四年任期。兩名理事的選舉在總統選舉後一年舉行，另一名的選舉在總統選舉前一年舉行。鎮區財務官亦由選舉產生[5]，與一名鎮區理事選舉同時舉行，不過在來年4月1日才開始四年任期。若財務官或理事職位有空缺，將由剩餘理事填補。
