羅伯聃
羅伯聃，原名羅伯特·湯姆(英語：Robert Thom; 1807年—1846年)，漢名羅伯聃，是19世紀英格蘭的翻譯家，為廣州的怡和洋行工作。在第一次鴉片戰爭時期被借調到英國武裝部隊。

1807年出生在英國，羅伯聃在怡和洋行工作時學會的中文。[1]
文學作品[編輯]
1840年羅伯聃將伊索寓言翻譯為中文，據說僅有的能說流利北京話的西方學者。[2]他還英譯了明朝的《今古奇觀·第三十五卷·王嬌鸞百年長恨》，並為中文學生出過幾本教科書。[3][4]
