盾柱木屬（學名：Peltophorum）為豆目豆科之下的一個屬，是落葉喬木植物。該屬共有約8種，分佈於熱帶地區。[1][2]
名稱[編輯]
本屬的學名「Peltophorum」源自希臘語「πέλτη」（peltē，意為「盾」）及「-φόρος」（-phoros，意為「帶有」），再加上新拉丁語後綴「-um」而組成，因本屬花柱的柱頭如盾狀而得名。[3]

The generic name Peltophorum means "shield-bearing" (from the ancient Greek word πέλτη [pĕltē] "a small light shield") and refers to the peltate stigma.
