埃斯克河（River Esk）是英格兰北约克郡的一条河流，长约28英里（45公里），穿过埃斯克代尔在惠特比流入北海。其名源于布立吞语词“isca”，意思是“水”^[3]。它是约克郡唯一一条直接流入北海的大河^[4]。

生态[编辑]

埃斯克河环境保护良好，有丰富的野生动物，有许多海鱒、無孔貽貝，它也是约克郡唯一一条拥有无孔贻贝的河流^[5]。不过由于河中淤泥堆积，这些贻贝有灭绝的危险^[6]，当地环保主义者在保护其群落^[7]。

除了惠特比港及其周边地区（以捕鲸业和造船业而闻名）外，这条河上不存在航运。^[8]
