硬尾雨燕屬（學名：Chaetura），或作刺尾雨燕屬，是雨燕目雨燕科下的一個屬。[2]本屬物種均分佈南北美洲，目前下屬11個物種。[2]
命名歷史[编辑]
本屬由英國博物學家詹姆斯·法蘭西斯·斯提芬斯於1826年描述。[3]其模式種被英國鳥類學家威廉·約翰·斯溫森指定為Hirundo pelasgia，即現今的煙囟刺尾雨燕。[1][4]其屬名Chaetura由古希臘語的χαίτη（羅馬化：khaitē，「毛髮」之意）及οὐρά（羅馬化：oura，「尾巴」之意）組成。[5]
