《愛的告白》是泰勒絲第三張錄音室專輯，在2010年10月25日發行。自從上一張專輯《無懼的愛》（Fearless）在全球締造銷售佳績、獲獎連連之後，可以發現泰勒絲已逐漸從鄉村歌手轉型至流行歌手，同時她的作品也越來越向市場主流音樂靠攏，現在媒體也少稱呼她為「鄉村小天后」了。《愛的告白》甫一發行隨即空降Billboard 200冠軍寶座，同時蟬連兩週，而且首週銷售量高達令人咋舌的104萬7千多張，這是進入千禧年以來，女歌手所創下首週銷售的最佳紀錄。這也是唯一一位能在專輯首週破百萬銷量的鄉村女歌手，而上一張能在銷售首週破百萬的鄉村專輯，已經要遠溯自1998年鄉村天王Garth Brooks的《Live Garth》。

泰勒絲這張專輯一共有6首單曲進入Billboard Hot 100榜的TOP 40，〈Mine〉獲得第3名、〈Back To December〉第6名、〈Mean〉第11名、〈Ours〉第13名、〈Sparks Fly〉第17名和〈The Story Of Us〉為第21名。其中泰勒絲還以單曲〈Mean〉拿下第54屆葛萊美獎中『最佳鄉村歌手』和『最佳鄉村歌曲』兩項大獎。
