Norther

Norther，是芬蘭赫爾辛基的一個旋律死亡金屬樂團，組建於1996年，在2012年時解散。他們的音樂具有力量金屬音樂的特質。
歷史
[编辑]Norther的歷史要追溯到1996年，當時Toni Hallio與Petri Lindroos 一起在以Requiem為名的樂團共事。在散團之後，他們沒有排練的空間，但他們仍然堅持信念，三個人儘可能的在各種地方練習演出，不論是在家、在Hallio祖母的閣樓（真的!）、在地窖、在青年中心等地點。
最後，在1997年末，樂團透過了朋友Alexander Kuoppala (Children of Bodom)在Lepakko找到了一個練團的地方。顯然的，他們對此十分激動，並積極展開尋找團員的工作，但並不很成功。於此同時，Requiem被通知Lepakko將被拆除，樂團成員又再度成為Hallio與 Lindroos兩人。在受到這個打擊之後，他們想辦法在Nosturi訂了一個練團室並開始尋找新團員來湊足團員組合成為Norther的雛型。
許多野心勃勃的樂手來樂團應徵，但都不適合樂團。在2000年初，Kristian Ranta加入樂團。他們三個人展開夜以繼日的練團，事情終於開始自此好轉。Kristian認識的Sebastian Knight、 Joakim Ekroos兩兄弟加入了樂團並錄製了樣本唱片。此時，樂團更名為Norther。
靠著這張樣本唱片也順利的獲得Spinefarm Records的一紙合約，至此好事似乎接連而來。不過，這卻也導致Ekroos離團。因而樂團成員又再度變成三人，但並未花很多時間就讓他們找到 Jukka Koskinen 與 Tuomas Planman入替。終於樂團成員固定下來，於是「Dreams of Endless War」得以錄製，Norther這個戰爭機器終於啟動。
