约瑟夫·J·罗特曼（英语：Joseph J. Rotman，1934年5月26日—2016年10月16日）[1]是一名美国数学家，伊利诺伊大学厄巴纳-香槟分校的数学教授[2]，也出版过10本教科书。
罗特曼出生于芝加哥。他在芝加哥大学完成本科和研究生学业，并于1959年获得博士学位，博士论文是在厄文·卡普兰斯基的指导下撰写的阿贝尔群[3]。1959年，他来到伊利诺伊大学厄巴纳-香槟分校，并在那里度过余下的数学生涯。2004年，罗特曼从伊利诺伊大学厄巴纳-香槟分校[4]。他的研究兴趣在于代数领域，涉及阿贝尔群、模、同调代数和组合数学[5]。
1972年至1973年，罗特曼担任《美国数学学会会刊》的总编辑[4]。1985年，他担任南非数学学会年度客座讲师[6]。
