拟蛾大灰蝶（学名：Liphyra brassolis），是属于灰蝶科云灰蝶亚科的一种蝴蝶，是大灰蝶属的模式种，也是世上体型最大的灰蝶[1]。在西方普遍称为蛾蝶（Moth butterfly），因其外观被认为像蛾类。罕有地分布于东洋界及澳新界。幼虫是肉食性。
分布[编辑]
印度阿萨姆邦、锡金、缅甸、摩鹿加群岛及马来半岛至澳大利亚洲北部。
外型[编辑]
幼虫扁平，呈光滑椭圆形。成虫翅面橙色并配有黑斑，雄蝶前翅外缘的黑褐色斑纹范围远大于雌蝶，斑纹范围亦会因不同季节而变异，雄蝶后翅又有小辫突。翅底灰褐色，前翅亦有一大黑斑，雌蝶前翅较雄蝶圆[2]。雄蝶展翅宽71毫米，雌蝶宽76毫米。

幼期[编辑]
幼虫肉食性，生活在树蚁的巢穴中并以黄猄蚁为食[3]。从蛹内羽化成蝴蝶时，其翅和体躯覆盖著粘性的鳞片，能粘住任何可能攻击它的蚂蚁。
成虫[编辑]
成虫活跃于正午至黄昏时份。飞行快速而有力，方向飘忽。经常出没于有编织蚁巢的树上或周围。一年最少两代[4]。
生境[编辑]
生境多样，包括各处建造了编织蚁蚁巢的红树林和沿海的桉树森林，更倾向喜欢树木密度较低的森林地区[4]。
