奧林匹克運動會射箭比賽的紀錄由國際奧林匹克委員會認定。射箭比賽自1972年重返奧運會以來，在小項和賽制上有過多次變化。1972至1984年，只有男、女個人項目，每人288箭。1988年，增設男、女團體項目，並區分排名賽階段和淘汰賽階段，排名賽144箭，淘汰賽每輪36箭。1992年，淘汰賽變為兩兩對決的單敗淘汰制，個人賽12箭對決，團體賽27箭對決。1996年，排名賽降至72箭，個人淘汰賽前三輪增至18箭，後三輪仍為12箭。2008年，個人淘汰賽變回全部12箭，團體賽變為24箭對決。個人從2012年開始，團體從2016年開始，淘汰賽變為小局制，總箭數不定。因此，當前的奧運會射箭比賽只有排名賽階段有紀錄。[1]

2004年，多位弓手在雅典奧運會上打破世界紀錄，但未被認定為奧運紀錄，因為那一年的排名賽安排在開幕式的前一天。鑒於此種情況，此後的奧運會射箭排名賽都安排在開幕式當天或更晚。但在2024年巴黎奧運會上，因為射箭場地也用於在室外進行的開幕式，所以預賽安排在開幕式前一天舉行，而林是見等取得的成績也被認定為奧運紀錄。[2][3][4][5]
