世界數字圖書館（World Digital Library）是聯合國教科文組織和世界32個公共團體合作建立，由美國國會圖書館主導開發的知識共享計劃。
2009年4月21日在聯合國教科文組織總部所在地巴黎正式啟用。使用者可以用阿拉伯文、簡體中文、英文、法文、葡萄牙文、俄文與西班牙文7種語言查詢[1]。
簡介
[編輯]世界數字圖書館旨在利用網際網路擴展多元文化背景內容，促進跨文化和國際交流，向教育人士、學者以及大眾提供資源，以縮小發達國家和貧窮國家間的數碼鴻溝[2]。力圖拓展互聯網上非英語及非西方化的內容，用於學術研究。該圖書館計劃在互聯網上免費、並使用多種語言形式以及重要內容提供給全球用戶，包括原稿、地圖、孤本圖書、樂譜、檔案、電影、繪畫作品、照片、建築設計圖以及重要的文化材料[3][4][5]。
