加州北部山火的位置
2017年10月北加州山火是在美國加利福尼亞州發生的一系列總共250場的山火[6]，始於2017年10月初。其中的21場山火擴大形成了主要的火災，燃燒總面積達到245,000英畝（99,148公頃）[1]。由於極端天氣情況，山火的規模在產生後不久就迅速擴大到納帕縣、萊克縣、索諾馬縣、門多西諾縣、比尤特縣和索拉諾縣，使北加州的大部分地區都發出了紅色旗幟警報。當時的報道中分別共有17場山火[7]；其中的塔布斯山火最後發展成加州歷史上破壞力最大的山火[1][8]；阿特拉斯山火，南斯山火（Nuns Fire）以及其他的山火也造成了較為嚴重的破壞。2017年10月的這一系列山火是記錄中造成經濟損失最大的山火，至少造成94億美元的直接經濟損失，超過了1991年的奧克蘭山火[2][9]。另外，此次北加州山火對美國經濟造成的傷害預計可達850億美元[10]。
由於當時極端的天氣情況，在10月8日和9日燃起後，僅用1天的時間，山火的影響範圍即從1,000英畝（400公頃）蔓延至20,000英畝（8,100公頃）。截至10月14日，山火影響了210,000英畝（85,000公頃）[1]的面積，迫使9萬人緊急疏散[11]。北加州的這次山火至少造成了44人喪命[3]，185人入院治療[12][4]。山火發生的2017年10月8日那周成為加州歷史上因山火死亡人數最多的一周[13][14][1][15][16]，也使其成為了自從1918年的克洛凱大火以來造成死亡人數最多的山火[17]。山火一共摧毀了估計約8900座建築物[1]。
火災發生的地點正處於葡萄酒之鄉的核心地帶，大火破壞了許多當地著名的葡萄園。一些被視為旅遊景區的葡萄園被毀於一旦，歷史建築也被燒毀。即使是沒有被火直接燒毀的葡萄園，尚未收穫的葡萄也受到煙塵污染而無法使用[18][19]。
