西雅圖市內有多座橋樑，需要穿越城市內的多條水道和眾多的山丘，其中不乏有在功能或工程上的創新性而擁有一定的歷史意義的橋樑[1]。截至2015年，西雅圖市內已經有十二座橋樑被聯邦政府、市政府或兩者授予歷史地位。西雅圖市內也有一些全世界僅有的永久浮橋[2]。

華盛頓湖和布吉特海灣分別位於西雅圖市的東部和西部，而兩者之間是通過一系列的運河和聯合湖（英語：Lake Union）（統稱為華盛頓湖運河（英語：Lake Washington Ship Canal））連接的[3]。四座通過運河的雙葉上開橋是市內最古老的橋樑，它們是在1917年至1930年間啓用。市內東部邊緣，連接運河南部一帶和大學區（英語：University District, Seattle）的橋樑有蒙特萊克大橋和大學橋。費利蒙大橋穿過運河中心，並因為其橋下淨空只有9.1米（30呎），而成為世界上最經常需要開合的橋樑。巴拉德大橋的是市內衆多跨越運河的橋樑中最靠西的一座[4]。

一衆浮橋承載90號州際公路和520號華盛頓州州道，並跨越華盛頓湖前往金縣東郊（英語：Eastside (King County, Washington)）[5]。建於2016年的長青點浮橋，是同一地點原有的浮橋（英語：Evergreen Point Floating Bridge）的重建[6][7]，是世界上最長的浮橋[8][9]。萊西·V·默羅紀念大橋（英語：Lacey V. Murrow Memorial Bridge）在1990年因為一次整修，而使它的開放維護艙口進水，而令橋樑的其中一個跨度沉沒；之後該跨度被重建。歲月和2001年尼斯闊利地震（英語：2001 Nisqually earthquake）也破壞了橋樑的其餘幾個跨度。基於未來的地震的危險性增加，市內失修的橋樑也隨之需要更換，例如阿拉斯加路高架道路（英語：Alaskan Way Viaduct）和木蘭橋（英語：Magnolia Bridge）[10][11]。

西西雅圖（英語：West Seattle）是一個因為被杜瓦米什河分隔而與市中心分離的半島。西西雅圖大橋是跨越河流的主要通道[12]。附近的斯波坎街大橋是世界上第一座，也是唯一一座液壓操作的混凝土雙葉平轉橋[13]。
