理查德·伯恩斯坦（英語：Richard Bernstein，1944年5月5日—），美國記者、專欄作家和作家。他曾是紐約時報的一位書評人以及時代雜誌和紐約時報的駐歐洲和亞洲的記者。
早年生活和教育[編輯]
理查德·伯恩斯坦出生[1]於紐約市，並在康涅狄格州東哈丹姆的一個家禽農場長大。高中畢業後，他獲得了康涅狄格大學歷史學士學位和哈佛大學的歷史和東亞語言碩士學位。 [2] 1971年移居台灣並學習漢語。 [2]
職業[編輯]
1973年，伯恩斯坦成為時代雜誌一名工作人員並且寫了一些有關於亞洲的文章。 1979年，他前往中華人民共和國負責分社成立工作並且出任北京分社第一任社長。 1982年，他加入紐約時報並擔任聯合國分社社長、巴黎分社社社長、國家文化通訊員以及書評人[3]和柏林分社社長。
伯恩斯坦的第一本書《從地球的中心：探尋中國的真相》 （From the Center of the Earth: The Search for the Truth About China，1982 年）被紐約時報評為「1982年度知名書籍」之一。 [4] 《即將與中國發生衝突》 （The Coming Conflict with China，1997）被選為紐約時報「1997年度知名書籍」之一。 [5]

個人生活[編輯]
伯恩斯坦住在紐約市布魯克林的公園坡附近。他的妻子是中國古典舞者Zhongmei Li。 [1]她在北京舞蹈學院學校了7年（1978-1984），並於1992年創立了總部位於紐約的Zhongmei Dance Company 。 [6]他們的兒子Elias就讀於史岱文森高中。 [7]
