麵團小子

麵團小子（Doughboy）是第一次世界大戰期間美軍步兵的一個外號^[1]^[2]。這個名字雖然起源不明，但一直被使用到1940年代初。例如，Dennis Day、Kenny Baker 、Kay Kyser等音樂人就曾在1942年錄製過一首名為「麵團小子約翰尼在愛爾蘭找到了一朵玫瑰」（Johnny Doughboy Found a Rose in Ireland）的歌曲；1942年還出過一部名為「麵團小子約翰尼」（Johnny Doughboy）的電影；《軍事漫畫》（Military Comics）中還有個叫「麵團小子約翰尼」（Johnny Doughboy）的角色^[3]。第二次世界大戰期間，美軍的「麵團小子」綽號逐漸被「G.I.」所取代。^[4]^[5]
