Lemmy是一款用於構建社交新聞聚合器和網絡討論區的自由軟件[2][3]。
歷史
[編輯]Lemmy起初由GitHub用戶Dessalines於2019年2月建立[4]，並以AGPL協定授權。
Dessalins在一篇2020年的博文中介紹了名稱Lemmy的起源。
它很長一段時間都沒有名字，但我想保持聯邦宇宙以動物命名專案的傳統。我當時正在玩一款老式遊戲《百戰小旅鼠》，那周萊米（來自 Motorhead）去世了，我們對名字進行了幾次民意調查，我同意了。

根據聯邦宇宙統計網站the-federation.info的數據，2023年6月僅有不到100個Lemmy實例，而截至2023年7月27日[update]增加到了1521個實例，總共有66,000月活躍用戶[6]。最流行的實例是lemmy.world和lemmy.ml，分別有27,000和4,000的月活躍用戶[6]。
和其他社交網絡的關係
[編輯]Lemmy使用ActivityPub協定，任何相容該協定的社交網絡，比如Kbin都可以與之互動[7]。
在2023年Reddit API爭議期間，其部分用戶討論了各種Reddit的替代品，包括Lemmy[8]，結果一些人為此被Reddit封禁，而子版塊「/r/LemmyMigration」也同樣被封禁，史翠珊效應使得更多人在黑客新聞和其他社交網站討論它，最後封禁被復原[9]。生活黑客網站認為Lemmy是Reddit的「最好的四個替代品」之一[2]。
第三方客戶端
[編輯]Lemmy的流動用戶端包括Android上的Jerboa和Connect[10]、iOS上的Memmy、Remmel以及Mlem[11]。
截至2023年7月，一些知名的Reddit客戶端比如Sync和Boost因為API漲價的問題已經準備轉型為Lemmy客戶端[12][13]。
