Cross Creek Township is one of the fourteen townships of Jefferson County, 俄亥俄州, 美國. The 2000 census found 8,761 people in the township, 5,643 of whom lived in the unincorporated portions of the township.[3]
地理[編輯]
Located in the central part of the county, it borders the following townships and city:
- Island Creek Township - 北
- Steubenville - 北east
- Steubenville Township - 東
- Wells Township - 南
- Wayne Township - 西
- Salem Township - 北west corner
Northeastern Cross Creek Township is occupied by parts of the city of Steubenville, the county seat of Jefferson County. Villages in the township include part of New Alexandria in the south and part of Wintersville in the north.
Name and history[編輯]
Cross Creek Township was founded in 1806.[4]
It is the only Cross Creek Township statewide.[5]
政府[編輯]
鎮區有3人組成的理事會管理。理事會理事選舉在奇數年11月舉行，並在來年1月1日開始四年任期。兩名理事的選舉在總統選舉後一年舉行，另一名的選舉在總統選舉前一年舉行。鎮區財務官亦由選舉產生[6]，與一名鎮區理事選舉同時舉行，不過在來年4月1日才開始四年任期。若財務官或理事職位有空缺，將由剩餘理事填補。
