《恐怖的世界》（日语：恐怖の世界，英语：World of Horror）是一款2023年发行的1-bit像素风格电子角色扮演游戏，受到H.P.洛夫克拉夫特、伊藤润二的影响。[3]该游戏由波兰开发商Paweł Koźmiński开发，由Ysbryd Games发行。[4]该游戏于2020年2月20日经由Steam、GOG.com、Microsoft商店发布抢先体验版。[5][6][7]完整版游戏于2023年10月19日在macOS、Windows平台发行。10月26日于任天堂Switch、PlayStation 4、PlayStation 5发行。[1][2]

故事舞台发生在虚构的198X年日本盐川町（日语：塩川町）。玩家必须探索各地并且和异世的怪物战斗，以阻止迫在眉睫的世界末日。[3]

玩法[编辑]

《恐怖的世界》以回合制战斗为特色，玩家在战斗中可以按伫列来采取行动跟攻击敌对生物，[8]其中许多生物都是以日本恐怖漫画和都市传说的生物为原型，例如裂口女。[9]游戏还透过探索跟解谜机制来融入冒险游戏、roguelike元素。[10][11]

游戏开发者Paweł Koźmiński（别名：Panstasz）趁牙医工作的空档兼职开发这款游戏。[12]游戏所有的美术设计都是用画图制作，其他文字由作者Cassandra Khaw提供。[4]游戏音乐由ArcOfDream、Qwesta创作。自2020年起，游戏发行商就表达发行游戏机版本的意向，[13]2022年11月任天堂在独立游戏世界展示会上也透露了游戏发行日期。[14]

Destructoid的Jordan Devore称呼该游戏和其模组化设计形式是“难得的享受”，以及“阴森的芯片音乐原声音乐跟长时间艰苦战斗不断上升的紧张气氛”，但也批评其战斗在长时间的游戏过程中变得乏味。[15] Polygon上的Jenna Stoeber称该游戏的恐怖感“引人入胜”，但她批评游戏视觉效果“参差不齐”，并称浏览界面“令人沮丧”。[16]CGMagazine上的Lane Martin说这款游戏“触及了恐怖真正的本质”。[17]
