萧文礼 (英语: Gary Shiu), 美籍华裔理论物理学家，威斯康星大学麦迪逊分校物理学教授。 他的研究涵盖宇宙学、粒子物理学和弦理论。他因从弦理论构建粒子物理和宇宙学模型以及阐明基础物理的实验和观测结果而闻名。他将弦理论研究带到了威斯康星大学麦迪逊分校，并参与了理论和计算宇宙学小组和 AI ∩ 宇宙计划的创立。[1]

萧文礼在香港圣约瑟书院接受小学和中学教育。 他于1993年获得香港中文大学物理学一等荣誉学士学位[2]，并于 1998 年在康奈尔大学获得博士学位，导师为戴自海 (Henry Tye)。[3][4]
事业[编辑]
他先后在杨振宁理论物理研究所和宾夕法尼亚大学从事博士后研究工作，随后在美国威斯康星大学麦迪逊分校任教。 他曾任香港高等研究院资深学人[5][6]、基础物理中心创始主任，兼任香港科技大学物理学讲座教授。[7][8]
他曾在世界各地高等学府担任客座教授、史丹佛大学、圆周理论物理研究所、阿姆斯特丹大学[9]以科维理宇宙物理学与数学研究所。[10][11] 萧教授在世界各地做过许多讲座，从专家讲座到科普演讲, 包括史蒂夫·戈德曼数学物理讲座、尼科·范·坎彭学术讨论会、约翰内斯·迪德里克·范德瓦尔斯讲座、理论物理子平论坛、埃伦菲斯蒂学术讨论会等。[12] 他是2023年首届国际基础科学大会的特邀发言人。[13]
