世界健身俱乐部（英语：World Gym International）是一间全球健身房连锁店，也是台湾最大的连锁健身房。1976年成立，目前在世界多国有分公司。[1][2]2024年，World Gym美国总公司被台湾分公司收购。
历史
[编辑]1965年，乔·戈尔德（Joe Gold）创立了Gold's Gym[3][4]。当时多位知名的健美运动员，曾于该健身房作过训练：阿诺·史瓦辛格初到美国时，就在该健身房锻炼自己。Gold's Gym曾纪录史瓦辛格为了1977年的Pumping Iron电影而训练的过程。据彼得·布洛克威（Peter Brockway）的访谈指出，该健身房的收入高达2,000万美元。[5]
1973年，戈尔德卖掉健身房并重返海商生涯，但随后发现自己把品牌名使用权也卖掉了，因此不能使用“Gold”的名字。戈尔德因此只能在圣莫尼卡重起炉灶，命名为“World Gym”。他随后把World Gym卖给健美运动员史蒂夫·戴维斯（Steve Davis），后者之后以25,000美元（当时币值）再度转卖。之后，World Gym又多次迁移总部：先是加州威尼斯、再来又搬到马丽娜德尔雷伊。2004年，戈尔德逝世，马丽娜德尔雷伊的健身房也随之关闭。2009年，Cammilleri家族入主World Gym，并就此控制该公司多年。[3][6][7]2019年，World Gym在舍布鲁克开设新的健身房。[8]
2001年，World Gym在台湾设立，并命名为“世界健身事业有限公司”。2024年10月28日，世界健身台湾区董事长柯约翰（John Caraccio）宣布以900万美元（约新台币2.88亿元）收购美国总公司，获得World Gym品牌全球经营权，全球营运总部地址亦随之迁至台湾台中市。[9][10]2024年11月10日，世界健身宣布接手经营台南市深呼吸运动（英语：Deep Breathing）5间会馆[11]，并于2025年1月1日完成经营权转换。
