乔瑟夫·詹姆斯·凯里（英语：Joseph James Kelley，1871年12月9日—1943年8月14日），为前美国职棒大联盟的左外野手。生涯曾效力过食豆人/鸽子(今勇士)、海盗、金莺(国联)、超霸(今道奇)、金莺(今洋基)与红人等队。凯里是1890年代的明星外野手，他曾是金莺队的夺冠核心，也有“金莺金霸王”的称号。[1]凯里在退休后，曾接连到罗宾(今道奇)和洋基等队担任教练和球探。

凯里在职棒17年的生涯中，打击率高达3成17，连续11年单季打击率突破3成，还曾上演单季87次盗垒成功。他曾是金莺和超霸两队的队长，最后他在1971年入选美国棒球名人堂。

职业生涯[编辑]

1891年，年仅19岁的凯里在新英格兰联盟完成职棒初登场。[2][3]不过他所属的球队在7月解散，[4]而他过了3天就和大联盟的食豆人签约，[5]并在同年完成大联盟初登场。该年他的打击率仅2成44，因此他在球季结束后被球队释出。1892年，凯里回到小联盟，并缴出3成16的打击率，并完成19次盗垒成功。

7月2日，海盗队与凯里签约。当时金莺新任总教练还将球队的主将George Van Haltren交易到海盗以换取凯里，造成Haltren的不满。[6]1893年，凯里的打击率为3成05，并跑回120分与33次盗垒成功。[7]之后他帮助金莺在1894年到1896年连续拿下国联冠军。1894年，因球队交易来中外野手Steve Brodie，所以凯里改站左外野。该年他的打击率为3成93，并敲出199安与111分打点。5成02的上垒率、107次保送和48支二垒安打都排名国联第二。[8]

不过当时的金莺队是一支喜欢打破规则的球队，[9]担任外野手的凯里常常在外野事先放好几颗球，等对手打出外野安打后，凯里不会去追球，而是直接捡起离他最近的球回传。[10]结果某一次凯里和队友没沟通好，一次传了两颗球回来，这件事情才就此曝光。1895年，凯里敲出10轰打破队史纪录。[11][12]隔年他的打击率为3成64，并敲出8轰。[13]

1897年，凯里兼任乔治城大学棒球队的教练。[14]这年他的打击率为3成62，并敲出118分打点。[15]

1898年，凯里担任球队队长。而他缴出4成38的长打率和110分打点。[16]这时金莺已经无力支付凯里的薪水，因此球队一口气将他、威利·基勒、Ned Hanlon、Hughie Jennings和Joe McGinnity交易到超霸。[17]虽然凯里曾向球队请求将他交易到离他家比较近的华盛顿参议员，不过参议员表示自己球队没有符合凯里这种等级的球员，无法做出等价交易而拒绝。

金莺队最后只剩下约翰·麦格劳一人，而凯里转队后仍持续担任球队队长。超霸也在这几位强打者的带领下于1899年和1900年连续拿下国联冠军。其中凯里在1900年缴出3成19的打击率。1901年起，凯里成为一垒手。球季结束后，新成立的美国联盟积极向国联挖角球员，而凯里一度要被球队交易到老虎，不过最后他拒绝了。[18]而这时美联的巴尔的摩金莺(今洋基)老板John Mahon正好是凯里的岳父，[19]因此凯里顺势加入金莺。[20]

凯里很快便成为球队的队长，而这时早已跳槽到美联的麦格劳也离开金莺，加入国联的巨人队。[21]1902年7月，凯里因为和裁判打架而被联盟主席禁赛。之后因为金莺陷入财政困难，[22]凯里便决定将自己的股份卖给他的岳父。而他岳父也随即将该股份卖给当时巨人和红人两队的老板。[23][24]金莺也顺势释出了包含凯里在内的几名选手，让他们可以加入国联，最后凯里加入红人。

加入红人后，超霸仍不放弃追求凯里。[25][26]而当时凯里并未马上向红人报到，而是去了美国人(今红袜)，并试图说服该队的球员一起加入国联。[27]

由于红人总教练Bid McPhee辞职，因此凯里刚加入便接任总教练。[28]但由于球队战绩长年不佳，他在1905年被解雇。[29]1906年，凯里的打击率仅有2成28，因此最后被红人释出。

1907年，凯里加入2A的多伦多枫叶。他以小联盟球员的身份拿到5000美元的合约(换算大约是现今的145000美元左右)，成为当时最高薪的小联盟球员。他在球队缴出3成22的打击率，顺利带领枫叶队拿下联盟冠军。

1908年，Fred Tenney离开鸽子队前往巨人队，[30]因此凯里被鸽子队以2年约签下。[31][32][33]不过后来凯里和球队老板爆发不合，最后他在1908年12月被释出。[34][35][36]

被释出的凯里又回到枫叶队，[37]还一度担任总教练。1914年，凯里被球队释出，而洋基队也考虑让凯里接任总教练。[38]1915年，凯里在洋基当了两年的球探。[39]1926年，他加入罗宾队担任教练，球季结束后未获球队续约。[40]

1964年，凯里首度获得名人堂票选资格，但他并未被选入。[41]1971年，凯里透过资深选手委员会引荐终于入选名人堂。[42]

个人生活[编辑]

凯里在1897年10月26日结婚，当时他的队友们还担任他的伴郎。[43]最后凯里葬在新天主教公墓。
