2012年美国职棒大联盟选秀，洛矶队在第一轮第10顺位选进达尔。[1]达尔选择放弃就读奥本大学，而跟洛矶队签约。[2]他在新人联盟就缴出3成79打击率，外带9轰与57分打点的成绩拿下开拓者联盟的MVP。[3]

2013年，达尔成为洛矶队的第二名新秀。[4]2014年7月，他升上高阶1A。[5]他在那边的打击率为2成99，并敲出14轰与21次盗垒成功。[6]
