蓋瑞克斯和蕾克莎最初使用了FaceTime錄製歌曲，因為他們不在錄音室，後來兩個人共同完成錄製[4]。

在2016年3月舉行的超世代音樂節上，蓋瑞克斯在表演時首次播放了此歌曲[5]。2016年7月24日，他通過社交媒體和2016年明日世界電子音樂節的 採訪宣布了這首歌將發行[6]。在接受採訪時，他說到「專輯已經完成」，這首歌將作為即將發布專輯中的第一首單曲[7]。這是自他與索尼音樂娛樂簽約以來發行的第一首曲目，後者也將發行該歌曲[8]。
